THE THOUSAND STARS FOUNDATION
Pandara originates from an aspiration to help young children in a nomad community in Tibet to get education, and from a vision to bring the light of wisdom, love and compassion to contemporary society.
For nearly two decades, Pandara has played an important role in promoting Tibetan wisdom in Thailand and enhances the growth of meditative contemplation in the Bon Buddhist tradition, which traces its lineage to Zhang Zhung.
The main purpose of the Stupa is to bring peace and harmony to the region, the country, the entire world and all lives. Once completed, the Stupa will function as a gompa (temple) in its own right. The Stupa will be a place for conducting Dharma activities that support practitioners on their paths of Awakening. The Stupa will house various statues of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and other wisdom deities. It will contain sacred substances, miniature stupas (tsa tsa), and particularly the relics of the enlightened ones.
