Dzogchen in general does not abandon things, even seemingly negative things. Instead, we find their essential energetic nature within. We find bliss within pain, healing within pain. That is what happens. That is why it’s not a path of renunciation, it’s a path of liberation.

When we don’t know the essence of it, it’s a pain; when we know the essence of it, it liberates. It’s simple. What a thing is, is not the problem. How we label it and how we make our stories out of it created the problem.
